Trading
Orders placed for a member against a market, the trades they produce, and cancellation.
An order takes member_id, market, side and ord_type, plus whichever of
price, volume and amount the order type needs. client_order_id is a
string, and reusing one is refused with 1001 — which makes it your protection
against a retry placing a second order. You can also look the order up directly —
GET /api/orders?client_order_id=… returns that one order — to see what the first
attempt did.
Working out which asset moves
An order names only market_id and side; there are no separate fields for the
asset bought and the asset sold. Derive them from the market and the side: on
btcusdt a buy receives BTC and pays USDT, a sell does the reverse.
Order size
Every market publishes its minimum order size:
List Markets returns min_volume in the base
asset and min_amount in the quote asset. Check the one matching the field you are
about to send — volume or amount — before placing the order.
